8-hours of Work: Like Like Dope - Karl Denson

YoureAPseudonymNamed(H)(F)uck(F)(L)in was excited: he had just gotten a book signed. This book was a comedic book and, in order to introduce me to this hilarious work, he decided to read to me a few short excerpts aloud. That was nice.

This weekend he stole a book from me about pioneering scientists, which he then flipped through and quizzed me on: he'd say a name, I'd say why he or she is famous). As I answered, YoureAPseudonymNamed(H)(F)uck(L)(F)in skimmed the blurb to see if I was right and, whether or not I was, he would read a small part of the article on that scientist. That was fun.

Last night we got in bed and, although I had been incredibly tired 3 hours before, I was now wide awake with only 5.5 hours before I had to leave for work. His solution? Read to me! He grabbed Huckleberry Finn, a book which stunningly neither of us have read, and proceeded to read me the first two chapters while we cuddled, complete with different voices for each character. Some say that three times is the charm and so I'll hope that this reading-aloud continues because it is GREAT; I love to read but I also LOVE when people tell me stories, and, duh, he loves to perform.
