Also, corn-based ethanol is not so fuel efficient (so I discerned through my ICE project)(don't know about sugar), but the point is that we should be looking into alternative fuel sources ESPECIALLY IF THERE ARE OTHER COUNTRIES ALREADY UTILIZING SAID ALTERNATIVES.
